i choose YOU!

This is the Valentine I made my girlfriend for this past Valentine's Day. I heard she liked Mudkipz because she told me. I forgot to take a picture of it, but its actually the inside of a pokeball. I made the outside look like one, with little a Mudkip inside! I can't even tell you how long it took me to make this. I probably took about a good 6 hours. The Mudkip drawing alone took me a good 2 hours because I wanted it to be perfect. I smoked some spicey nugs and listened to a Hospital Records podcast while I made it so it was a labor of love. I find drum n bass good music to jam out to while making crafty crafts.

The hearts you see I cut out of colorful laboratory tape (Fisher Brand). I used to work in a research laboratory so I pilferred a good deal of the stuff while I was still working there. It comes in every color of the rainbow. I decided to stick with the purples, pinks, and blues. My girl isn't girly so I tried to keep the color-scheme as un-prissy as possible. I used orange construction paper because I thought it matched my little Mudkip's "ears" quite well.

I finished this Valentine a few days before Valentine's Day and sent it to her hoping she would receive it on the right day. She lives a state away from me and my card actually came two days earlier than I excepted. But being a good girlfriend she waited until V-Day to open it. Needless to say she was very happy with it and loved it just as much as I do. In fact, that same day we both published separate photos of it on the same internet image board with out even realizing it! We really do think alike.

So what did my girl give me in return, you might ask? A very funny personalized "StarGreetz" from Jersey Shore's own Pauly D. MTV reality shows are a common bond between us. Just hearing Pauly D say my name had me grinning ear to ear. Pauly D is such a charmer.
